Dear Colleaques and Friends,

I am very pleased and greatly honored to assume the international presidency of the 4rd Annual Congress of the Moroccan Society of Reproductive Medicine and Fetal medicine (SMMR) , organized at the Hyatt regency Hotel in Casablanca , Morocco in June 13-15 , 2019. I wish to express my sincere gratitude to all who nomineted and selected me for this very prestigeous position.

SMMR proved itself in years and had recognition not only in Morocco but also in international community. Apart from organizing several regional and national scientific activities for its members to update their recent scientific knowledge, the society is also establishing several connections with the international meetings and societies sharing the same educartional goals. The participants share all current avaible scientific information and ideas with the World class national and international speakers during the meetings,symposia and workshops organized by the Society and also rekindle friendships. It is also unique in a sense that it blends clinicans and scientists from different cultural,ethnic and religious backgrounds that inhabit the North African Region. I thank to all for their contribution in bringing our Society to its present standing.

Being served in the executive board Eupean Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology and serving as the presidents of the Interntional Society of IVF, the Mediterrenian Society of Reproductive Medicine and the Turkish Society of Medicine, I am prepared to put all my effort to maintain and increase the visibility and power of SMMR in my forthcoming professional and academical life. The first task would be to support Morocco to have the next ISIVF Congress which will be held in 2021.

I am sure that, this Congress will be a memorable, high educational and “not to be missed” event. The spirit of a good scientist has to be a permanent student of science; because in science; the absolute truths of today are always relative truths of tomorrow. During this meeting, we will all become students and we will have the opportunity of reviewing the advances in our field. At the same time, all of you have the chance to get in contact with the pioneers of your dicipline. It is evident that, this Congress will help the participants to have a better understanding of the questions on their mind about the human reproduction and the knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of it.

Finally, I also want to thank all dear colleagues and fellow scientists, because our success is the merit of having all of them here to show the results of their excellent daily work which is essential for the scientific progress in reproductive medicine related disorders, and to improve the quality of life of our patients.
